Insurance & Claim Specialist
Jakarta Raya
Responsibilities:
  • To investigate, quantify and negotiate all classes of insurance rates and claims
  • Establish and maintain personal contact with Insurance provider and Broker personnel
  • Advise users regarding to insurance documents, contacts and agreements handling
  • Work as part of highly qualified team, sharing responsibilities and handling complex losses
  • Lead implementation of company policy regarding to insurance and regulatory compliance
  • Liaison between Regional Office in Singapore and Company business in Indonesia on customer claims handling.
  • Prepare insurance summaries and historical policy listings. 
  • Manage the annual renewal process for all insurance coverage and prepare various analyses for the various alternatives offered.   
  • Aids in review of all certificates of insurance and provides support in annual certificate renewal process.
  • Review retentions and deductibles and make recommendations for changes with justification
  • Monitor all Claim related communication between company and customers / suppliers / Network / Admin / Surveyors.
  • Participate in the set-up and follow-up of internal standard procedures to enhance productivity and transparency
  • Maintain acceptable Health, Safety and Environmental risk levels in his/her area of responsibility.                                    
  • Ensure the compliance with applicable legal requirements
Job Summary:
Be the interface for any request for insurance within company
Implementation and coordination of global (corporate) insurance concepts and loss prevention initiatives in Business Units in accordance with corporate standards, guidelines and processes, in line with instructions from Corporate Insurance Management.
  • Monitoring insurance arrangement of subcontractors;
  • Arranging local insurance contracts
  • Claims management;  Monitoring and reporting claim
Requirements:
  • Education (academic/professional)
    • Bachelor Degree from recognized university or relevant qualification
  • Years of relevant experience (local, regional, global, technical/specialized etc)
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Claims and insurance
    • Preferably hold insurance diploma or Associate ship certificate
  • Competencies (knowledge, skills and Capabilities)
    • Having experienced in area of insurance and claims
    • Knowledge of relevant legal and insurance developments
    • in Freight forwarding /shipping/logistics
    • Excellent in English both oral & written
    • Possess personal qualities: good human relations, communication, networking and high integrity
    • Proficient in MS office including; Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point
    • Able to generate work in their own respect
Authority & Accountability
  • Operational :
    • Source and recommend Transport, Assets and Medical insurance schemes and quotations;
    • Provide guidance to Operation on claims handling and processing
    • Raise CPARs (corrective action request) in events when company QHSE policies are violated
  • Financial: N/A
